Organizations Filed Purposes: The CLC YMCA is a key collaborative leader improving the life for all by being the champion for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Our YMCA is founded by volunteers from our community and lead by a CEO and volunteer board of directors. Volunteers also serve as mentors, coaches, program leaders, instructors and more.

The Central Lincoln County YMCA is a charitable, community service organization that includes men, women and children of all ages, abilities, incomes, races and religions. Our mission is to put Christian Principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

CHILD CARE CENTER- At the Y, we believe values and skills learned early are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. We serve ages 6 weeks to 5 years and provide both full and part time options to serve a wide range of family scheduling needs. Woven into the fabric of the YMCA mission is a commitment to strengthening families. YMCA childcare programs relieve the burden of balancing work and family and makes it possible for parents of children in our care to remain gainfully employed, knowing that their children are thriving in a safe, developmentally sound environment. The YMCA contracts with the State of Maine to provide child care subsidy for those in need. In addition, we provide aid to families who need help due to family violence, substance abuse, etc. by collaborating with other social service agencies.

FAMILY FITNESS - Helping people of all ages and abilities develop health in spirit, mind and body is at the core of the YMCA movement. Our programs are designed to help people create realistic goals for self-improvement and emphasize disease prevention through regular exercise, proper nutrition, stress management, and health education. Sports programs for youth, families and adults promotes teamwork, interaction, and development of social and physical skills. Our "Living Fit" class is a senior exercise program that keep seniors active and flexible; our itty bitty soccer program teaches motor and physical skills to toddler and preschoolers; our family sports programs and events gives adults and children time to appreciate one another and promote intergenerational relationships. Most of our wellness classes are offered free to members. Financial assistance is available for those in need.

SUMMER CAMP -The YMCA camping program provides a lasting experience of personal enrichment. Our day camps offer adventure and learning activities that promote spiritual awareness, mental development, physical well being, social growth, and self-respect. Through the USDA Summer Food Program, all campers are offered free breakfast and lunch during the summer months. The Y also offers Financial Assistance for those in need.
