To support the operations of the library by providing circulation materials, media, information systems and the cost of professional conferences for library personnel.The Gardiner Library Association owns, maintains, and improves the library building and allows the City of Gardiner to use the building as a public library at no charge.
To maintain and improve the physical structure of the library to keep pace with service needs and technological change.The Gardiner Public Library maintains a special collection of the history of the Lower Kennebec Valley.
