CAMP CHEWONKI - PROVIDES AN OVERNIGHT CAMP PROGRAM FOCUSED ON NATURE, SUSTAINABILITY, OUTDOOR SKILLS, COMMUNITY BUILDING, AND OUTDOOR EXPEDITIONS. EXPEDITIONS EXTEND FROM WISCASSET TO THE WOODS AND WATERS OF MAINE, ALONG ITS ROCKY COAST, AND INTO THE NORTHERN FOREST AND BARREN LANDS OF CANADA.
CHEWONKI SCHOOLS - MAINE COAST SEMESTER AT CHEWONKI IS A CHALLENGING ACADEMIC SEMESTER (TWO EACH YEAR) FOR 45 HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND ACADEMICALLY CAPABLE 11TH-GRADE STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY AND ABROAD. THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AT CHEWONKI IS AN INTENTIONALLY SMALL, INDEPENDENT SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN GRADES 1-8, MODELING THE BEST OF INNOVATIVE, INTEGRATED ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING.
EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS - OUTDOOR CLASSROOM FOR SCHOOLS IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT OFFERS DAY TRIPS, OVERNIGHT TRIPS, AND WILDERNESS TRIP PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOL GROUPS IN MAINE AND NEW ENGLAND (COMPASSION FOR ONE ANOTHER, BUILDING SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND STEWARDSHIP FOR THE NATURAL WORLD ARE THE CORE GOALS OF THIS PROGRAM). CHEWONKI SCIENCE EDUCATORS TEACH NATURAL HISTORY PROGRAMS TO MORE THAN 20,000 STUDENTS EACH YEAR THROUGHOUT MAINE.
