Organizations Filed Purposes: The Royal River Conservation Trust (RRCT) is a regional land trust serving portions of twelve Maine municipalities. The trust owns, cares for, and stewards land and conservation easements to protect land and water resources for the benefit of the general public.

Land conservation: In 2019 RRCT successfully acquired new fee simple conservation land or conservation easements at Riverfront Woods Preserve, Chesley Meadows Preserve, and Old Crow Ranch. In 2019 RRCT planned and campaigned for acquisitions to be completed in future years.

Stewardship: RRCT conducts annual on-site monitoring of all conservation easements, and executes stewardship plans, projects, and protocols on trail easements and fee ownership. RRCT stewardship policies and protocols are guided by the Land Trust Alliance and Maine law.

Education & Outreach: RRCT continues free weekly programming known as the Rain or Shine Club, free monthly outdoor film series, free monthly nature walks, educational newsletters, and various additional free public events.
