Organizations Filed Purposes:
VFW'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE SOCIAL WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY AND TO ASSIST DISABLED AND NEEDY WAR VETERANS AND MEMBERS OF THE US ARMED FORCES, THEIR DEPENDENTS, WIDOWS & ORPHANS OF DECEASED VETERANS.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO CHILDREN & GRANDCHILDREN OF MEMBERS. THIS PROGRAM IS CONDUCTED TO HELP MEET EDUCATIONAL NEEDS FOR FAMILY MEMBERS OF VETERANS. $500.00 SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED FOR EACH SEMESTER TO EACH RECIPIENT ANNUALLY. A MEMBER OF THE ORGANIZATION USUALLY AWARDS THE SCHOLARSHIP AT THE RECIPIENT'S HIGH SCHOOL ON AWARDS DAY. THE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE PUBLICIZED IN THE LOCAL NEWSPAPER.
PROGRAMS TO ASSIST DISABLED AND NEEDY WAR VETERANS: MEMBERS PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO VETERANS BY GIVING TRANSPORTATION TO PHYSICIANS OFFICES AND HOSPITALS. MEMBERS VISIT HOSPITALIZED VETERANS OR MEMBERS OF THE U. S. ARMED FORCES. DONATIONS ARE MADE TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO NEEDY VETERANS.
