Organizations Filed Purposes: a)To cooperate with other charitable organizations, which are working to develop a better habitat for economically disadvantaged people. This includes building homes for qualifying low income families wherein they only sign a mortgage for the cost of materials, and they pay no interest, or where minor repairs may be needed. The labor for building or repairing the homes is donated by the Fuller Center Organization or local organizations, including the required work hours by the benefitting families.b)To promote the common good and general welfare of the City of Greenwood, Leflore County, Mississippi, its inhabitants, surrounding territories and its inhabitants, benefiting society by reducing blighted housing conditions.

In conjunction with the Fuller Center Group mission, the local chapter adopted a program of helping needy families with minor home improvements and energy weatherization that do not exceed a reasonable amount per family. The family then makes a commitment to repay as they can. The local chapter assisted approximately eight families during the current fiscal year. The program is referred to as the Greater Blessing Box. Most of the labor is donated and the cost of some of the materials is paid from organizational funds and designated gifts.

The affiliate continued to collect the payments on low income house notes(at no interest) from 29 houses and cottages built/placed in prior years. One house was continued in the current fiscal year, and the costs of placing 1 FEMA cottage in Baptist Town area of Greenwood was continued. One cottage is in process of being transferred after a vacancy. The majority of the labor for building the houses is contributed by the local Fuller Center for Housing organization, any cooperating organizations, and the family which will take ownership of the house. Certain costs are incurred to store and insure materials inventories until used on a house and to provide workmen's compensation coverage on volunteer labor, and construction liability insurance coverage that is not charged to homeowners. There is a shared appreciation agreement that allocates half of the gain on a mortgaged house sold which prorates the gain based on length of time the homeowner has paid on the mortgage to Fuller Center. If the homeowner has paid off the mortgage, the association receives no shared appreciation payment.

Per agreement with Fuller Center for Housing, the local affiliate makes a contribution when possible to the Fuller Center for Housing International, which assists Fuller Center to administer its programs on a national and international basis. Fuller Center also provides support to the local chapter in the way of construction methods, standards, and house plans and occasional contributions back to the local chapter.
