Organizations Filed Purposes:
To create a Mississippi where every family has access to safe, decent, and affordable housing.
To provide affordable housing to low and moderate income level individuals
During the early stages of the COVID-19 Pandemic, MHP operated as an essential organization. As such, foreclosure mitigation counseling was provided to numerous families who were in danger of losing their homes. These housing counseling services were also provided to other homeowners and families who were renting. Concerns about homelessness were heightened as a result of the Pandemic. Thus, continuing as a member of the Central Mississippi Continuum of Care (CoC), MHP is in its fourth year of operating a Supportive Housing Program (SHP). Via this effort, housing and other crucial services are provided for eight(8) formerly homeless families. MHP performs additional affordable housing services not mentioned.
