ST. CATHERINE'S VILLAGE (THE VILLAGE) WAS ORGANIZED TO ESTABLISH AND OPERATE RETIREMENT FACILITIES, NURSING HOMES, HOSPICES AND HOME HEALTH AGENCIES FOR THE AGED.
THE VILLAGE IS MISSISSIPPI'S FIRST RETIREMENT COMMUNITY OFFERING THE SECURITY OF ALL-INCLUSIVE LIFE CARE. NESTLED ON 160 ACRES OF ROLLING GREEN HILLS AND TALL PINE TREES, THE VILLAGE OVERLOOKS A TRANQUIL 15 ACRE STOCKED LAKE. The Village is sponsored by the Franciscan Missionary of our Lady Sisters of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Dominican Sisters of Springfield, Illinois, who owned and operated St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital from 1946 to 2019, extended their healing ministry to the special needs of older adults with the creation of the Village.
