The Tutwiler Community Education Center strengthens children and families by developing programs that address the needs of the community.
The Center offers education and recreational programs for children ages 7 to 18, parenting workshops, activities for seniors, and town meetings. Other programs include an athletic program with a gym, a music program and a summer program so all age groups have activities. The Center is available for family reunions and wedding receptions.
The quilting program provides a source of income for 20 to 25 women in this economically depressed area. Quilt sales provide for these women and their families.
