THE THEATER IS ORGANIZED TO BRING THE EXCITEMENT OF THE PERFORMING ARTS TO THE PEOPLE OF THE NORTHERN ROCKIES REGION; TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN BILLINGS AND SURROUNDING AREAS; AND TO PROVIDE A FACILITY FOR LOCAL PERFORMING ARTISTS.

PROMOTION AND PRODUCTION OF WORLD CLASS, ARTISTICALLY AND CULTURALLY DIVERSE PERFORMANCES FOR THE ENRICHMENT OF THE COMMUNITY AND SURROUNDING REGION. ABT PRESENTED 9 PERFORMANCES IN OTHER COMMUNITY VENUES THIS YEAR BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSED FOR A MAJOR $13.6MM RENOVATION. THESE PERFORMANCES INCLUDED CLASSICAL MUSIC, DANCE, WORLD MUSIC, FILMS AND BROADWAY SHOWS. THESE PERFORMANCES SERVED 2,392 PATRONS AND ARTISTS. PATRONS ATTENDING EVENTS COME FROM A LARGE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA THAT IS BOUNDED BY THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE TO THE WEST, THE CANADIAN BORDER TO THE NORTH, THE NORTH DAKOTA STATE LINE TO THE EAST AND INCLUDES A LARGE PORTION OF NORTHERN WYOMING. ABT CANCELLED 3 PERFORMANCES DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND ARTS EDUCATION. ABT PRESENTED 10 SCHOOL MATINEE PERFORMANCES THAT WERE ATTENDED BY 16,256 STUDENTS FROM OVER 99 INDIVIDUAL PUBLIC, PRIVATE, TRIBAL AND HOME SCHOOLS, AND SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES FOR YOUTH. THE THEATER ALSO CONDUCTED 5 COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION EVENTS INCLUDING MASTER CLASSES, LECTURE DEMONSTRATIONS AND BACKSTAGE TOURS FOR GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT REACHED 220 INDIVIDUALS COMPRISED OF YOUNG STUDENTS, SENIOR CITIZENS, LOCAL ARTISTS AND NATIVE AMERICANS. ALBERTA BAIR THEATER'S ACCESS TO THE ARTS PROGRAM COLLABORATED WITH 17 SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES TO PROVIDE 428 FREE TICKETS TO THEIR CLIENTS WHO STRUGGLE WITH PHYSICAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CHALLENGES. ABT CANCELLED 6 PERFORMANCES DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

PROVIDE VENUE AND SERVICES TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS FOR PERFORMANCES, MEETINGS AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS. THE VENUE WAS UNABLE TO HOST ANY EVENTS THIS YEAR AS THEY WERE CLOSED FOR A MAJOR $13.6MM RENOVATION.
