Organizations Filed Purposes:
The Local Union was established to negotiate collective bargaining agreements for members' wages, benefits, working conditions, and to protect the rights of the members under these agreements and Federal and state laws. The member dues and related income is used to carry out these efforts.
All expenses for the year are related to the representation of the members concerning working conditions at their work sites and ongoing enforcement of negotiated collective bargaining agreements through grievance and arbitration proceedings. Also included was representation of members' concerns at conferences with affiliated organizations and with USW International Union. This representation was reported back to the membership via monthly meetings, newsletters, and person-to-person interaction.
