RESOURCE AND REFERRAL PROGRAM:THE RESOURCE AND REFERRAL PROGRAM OFFERS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR CHILD CARE AND SUPPORTS PROVIDERS THROUGH TRAININGS, GRANTS, AND ASSISTANCE WITH LICENSING. THE BEST BEGINNINGS CHILD CARE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS OFFERED FOR ELIGIBLE WORKING OR STUDENT PARENTS AND PARENTS RECEIVING TANF. THIS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ENABLES PARENTS TO WORK OR ATTEND SCHOOL. 1,086 CHILDREN (554 FAMILIES) ON AVERAGE RECEIVED CHILD CARE SCHOLARSHIPS EACH MONTH. 6 CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS RECEIVED ASSESSMENTS AND ACCOMMODATIONS. 189 CHILD CARE PROGRAMS WERE LICENSED DURING THE YEAR AND 939.5 HOURS OF CLASSROOM TRAINING SESSIONS WERE OFFERED TO REGIONAL CHILD CARE PROVIDERS. 1,709 COACHING AND CONSULTING HOURS WERE SPENT WORKING WITH CHILD CARE PROVIDERS ON ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF SERVICES CHILD CARE PROGRAMS ARE PROVIDING TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.

CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM:THE CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM REIMBURSES CHILD CARE PROVIDERS FOR A PORTION OF THE COST OF SERVING NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO CHILDREN IN CHILD CARE. 294,091 USDA APPROVED MEALS WERE SERVED IN REGISTERED CHILD CARE PROGRAMS, AND 5 CHILD CARE PROGRAMS WERE ADDED DURING THE YEAR. IN ADDITION, 120.75 ONSITE COACHING HOURS WERE OFFERED TO CHILD CARE PROVIDERS.

PROJECT LAUNCH:PROJECT LAUNCH PROMOTES THE WELLNESS OF YOUNG CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO 8 YEARS BY ADDRESSING THE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE, AND BEHAVIORAL ASPECTS OF THEIR DEVELOPMENT. 8 ON-SITE PROFESSIONAL COACHING PROGRAMS WERE OFFERED: 1 IN BELGRADE, 5 IN BOZEMAN, 1 IN LIVINGSTON, AND 1 IN WEST YELLOWSTONE.
