Organizations Filed Purposes:
OUR MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE WELFARE OF RAPTORS ACROSS MONTANA THROUGH REHABILITATION OF INJURED BIRDS, COMMUNITY EDUCATION, AND PARTNERSHIPS FOR RAPTOR CONSERVATION AND RESEARCH.
REHABILITATION - MRCC PROVIDED VETERINARY CARE AND HUSBANDRY FOR 211 INJURED BIRDS OF PREY IN 2020. THIS INCLUDES RETRIEVING INJURED RAPTORS, DETERMINING AND ADMINISTERING TREATMENT PROTOCOLS, RADIOGRAPHS AND CONSULTING WITH VETERINARIANS AND RELEASING REHABILITATED BIRDS.
EDUCATION - MRCC CURRENTLY HAS 12 NON-RELEASABLE EDUCATIONAL RAPTORS THAT ASSISTED MRCC STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS IN MAKING PRESENTATIONS ABOUT CONSERVATION OF MONTANA'S RAPTOR SPECIES TO LOCAL SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. WE OFFER A RANGE OF PROGRAMS FOR BOTH YOUTH AND ADULTS. A SMALL PROGRAM FEE IS CHARGED, IF POSSIBLE, THAT GOES DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE CARE OF EDUCATIONAL RAPTORS AND TO SUPPORT OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.
