Provide food for individuals in need
The Butte Food Bank provides food to individuals in need. Monthly average of 700 families. The amount of food they are receiving has been increased. Each year the organization distributes nearly 1.7 million pounds of food through our various programs.
The Backpack Program provides meals and snacks for students every weekend. With these meals, students are more attentive in classes, retain more information, and have better moods to welcome classroom activities and homework. During 2019, backpack meals/snacks were distributed weekly to over 400 children.
The Butte Emergency Food Bank provides free meals to individuals in need. Twice a week, community meals are provided. During 2019, over 12,000 meals were provided.
