EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES FOR MEMBERS - ONE OF THE MONTANA BANKERS ASSOCIATION'S MAJOR MISSIONS IS TO ENHANCE THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY BANKS AS PREEMINENT PROVIDERS OF FINANCIAL SERVICES THROUGH EDUCATION PROGRAMS. TO MEET CONTINUING CHANGING MEMBER NEEDS FOR TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, THE MONTANA BANKERS ASSOCIATION PROVIDES A VARIETY OF EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBER BANKS AND THEIR EMPLOYEES TO IMPROVE BANK PERFORMANCE BY ENHANCING THEIR DIRECTORS', MANAGERS', AND EMPLOYEES' KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS. MONTANA BANKERS ASSOCIATION EDUCATION CONFERENCES PROVIDE TRAINING IN ALL KEY AREAS OF BANKING, WITH QUALITY CONTENT DEVELOPED BY LEADING INDUSTRY EXPERTS AND DELIVERED THROUGH SEVERAL CHANNELS INCLUDING FACE-TO-FACE, E-LEARNING, WEB-BASED AND TELEPHONE CONFERENCE PROGRAMS.
25/50 YEAR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS - IN 1964, THE ASSOCIATION CREATED THE MONTANA BANKERS ASSOCIATION 25/50 YEAR CLUB. THE CLUB WAS FOUNDED TO GRANT POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS FOR JUNIOR OR SENIOR STUDENTS WITH A MAJOR OR PROFESSIONAL INTEREST IN FINANCE OR BANKING. ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING UNITS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA AND MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY. THE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ARE CHOSEN BY THE UNIVERSITY UNITS.
ANNUAL CONVENTION FOR MEMBERS - AS STATED IN THE ASSOCIATION'S BYLAWS, "THE (ASSOCIATION'S) PURPOSE, SHALL BE TO PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE AND USEFULNESS OF THE BANKING INDUSTRY IN MONTANA: TO GIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OPEN DISCUSSION AND LAWFUL INTERCHANGE OF INFORMATION ABOUT ALL FACETS OF THE BANKING INDUSTRY IN MONTANA; TO ACCUMULATE AND GIVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE BANKING INDUSTRY..."THE ANNUAL CONVENTION IS THE MAJOR EVENT TO GATHER MEMBERS TOGETHER TO MEET FOR THE ASSOCIATION'S ABOVE REFERENCED PURPOSES AS WELL AS TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENT FOR THE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING. AT THE ANNUAL MEETING THE ASSOCIATION'S OFFICERS REPORT TO THE MEMBERSHIP THE ASSOCIATION'S ACTIVITIES AND FINANCES FOR THE PAST YEAR AND PROPOSED PLAN FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR AND GAIN MEMBER INPUT FOR THE ASSOCIATION'S ACTIVITIES.
