Organizations Filed Purposes:
THE IMAGINEIF LIBRARY FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO RAISE PRIVATE DOLLARS TO ENHANCE THE PATRON SERVICES OF IMAGINEIF LIBRARIES. THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE LIBRARY BOARD AND THE LIBRARY DIRECTOR TO FUND FACILITY UPGRADES, PROGRAMMING AND MATERIALS NOT INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY LIBRARY BUDGET.
FUNDING FOR PROGRAM EXPENSES, WHICH SUPPORTS A VARIETY OF INITIATIVES AIMED AT IMPROVING EDUCATION, FOSTERING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND INCREASING THE CONNECTEDNESS OF OUR COMMUNITY. IMAGINEIF USED THIS PROGRAM GRANT IN FY 18-19 SPECIFICALLY FOR EARLY LITERACY CLASSES, WHICH PREPARED MORE THAN 11,000 CHILDREN AGES 0-6 FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS, EARLY LITERACY KITS, WHICH EQUIPPED MORE THAN 400 NEW PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS WITH THE TOOLS TO LAY THE GROUNDWORK FOR LITERACY WITH VERY YOUNG CHILDREN, AND MAKING MONTANA, A TWO-DAY MAKER AND MANUFACTURING FAIR ATTENDED BY MORE THAN 2,000 CHILDREN AND ADULTS THAT GROWS THE NEXT GENERATION OF INNOVATORS BY BRINGING TOGETHER A NETWORK OF BUSINESSES, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS AND LEARNING INSTITUTIONS.
FUNDING FOR SUMMER EXPERIENCE, A NON-WEEK SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES HANDS-ON EXPLORATIONS OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART AND MATH FREE OF COST. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON BUILDING 21ST CENTURY SKILLS LIKE COLLABORATION, EXPERIMENTATION, DESIGN AND RESILIENCE. TYPICALLY, STUDENTS SUFFER LEARNING LOSS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, WITH LOW-INCOME STUDENTS WHO LACK ACCESS TO STRUCTURED SUMMER LEARNING EXPERIENCING EVEN GREATER LOSS. THIS PROGRAM AIMS TO CLOSE THAT GAP, AND MORE THAN 4,000 FLATHEAD VALLEY STUDENTS ATTENDED.
FUNDING FOR STAFF TRAINING. INFORMATION PROFESSIONALS NEED TO CONSTANTLY DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS TO KEEP PACE OF RAPIDLY DEVELOPING INNOVATIONS IN TECHNOLOGY, COMMUNICATIONS, AND EDUCATION. STAFF TRAINING ENSURES THAT LIBRARY CUSTOMERS RECEIVE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF SERVICE FROM THE DEDICATED STAFF AT IMAGINEIF LIBRARIES. ADEQUATE AND ONGOING TRAINING OF LIBRARY PROFESSIONALS LEADS TO HIGHER RATES OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND STAFF THAT IS BETTER ABLE TO MEET CUSTOMER'S NEEDS. TRAINING ALSO HELPS IMAGINEIF DEVELOP EFFICIENCIES OF SERVICE THAT HELP THEM TO MAKE THE BEST USE OF THEIR PUBLIC BUDGET.
