IN 2019 THE ADOPTION CENTER SAVED 578 OWNER-SURRENDERED, RESCUED AND/OR ABANDONED PETS MAKING SURE ALL WERE VACCINATED, DE-WORMED, SPAYED OR NEUTERED AND MICROCHIPPED. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF PETS THAT WERE ADOPTED INTO LOVING HOMES WAS 522. THROUGH ITS PET FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND ITS HUMANITARIAN AID FOR PETS PROGRAM, THE HUMANE SOCIETY DONATED 7,614 POUNDS OF PET FOOD TO FEED AT-RISK COMMUNITY PETS AND FINANCIALLY HELPED COMMUNITY PETS RECEIVE EMERGENCY VETERINARY CARE. WITH THE HELP OF VOLUNTEERS, THE HUMANE SOCIETY EDUCATED HUNDREDS OF SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN ON THE TOPICS OF RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP AND DOG BITE PREVENTION AND CONDUCTED MONTHLY ADOPTION CENTER TOURS AND PET THERAPY VISITS FOR SENIOR CITIZEN GROUPS. HUMANE SOCIETY VOLUNTEERS DONATED A TOTAL OF 4,609 HOURS.
