ANIMAL ADOPTION- HOMELESS CATS AND DOGS ARE PROVIDED TEMPORARY CARE IN A FOSTER HOME UNTIL A PERMANENT HOME IS FOUND. APPROXIMATELY 80 ANIMALS WERE REHOMED DURING 2019.IN ADDITION, BEARTOOTH HUMANE ALLIANCE (BHA) WAS CALLED ON TO PROVIDE CARE FOR 57 CAVALIER SPANIELS SEIZED BY CARBON COUNTY, MT LAW ENFORCEMENT IN AUGUST 2019. SINCE INTAKE, 25 PUPPIES WERE BORN, BRINGING THE TOTAL TO 82 DOGS. DAILY CARE FOR A PERIOD OF 75 DAYS WAS PROVIDED THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF 175 VOLUNTEERS AND 3 BHA STAFF MEMBERS. ADDITIONALLY, BHA CONTRIBUTED $ 37,000 GENERATED THROUGH DONATIONS TO OFFSET THE COUNTY'S FINANCIAL BURDEN IN INVESTIGATING AND PROSECUTING THE CASE.
BEARTOOTH HUMANE ALLIANCE IS CARBON COUNTY, MONTANA'S ONLY SOURCE OF ANIMAL WELFARE.WE ARE DEDICATED TO AND FOCUSED ON OUR MISSIONS OF CONTROLLING COMPANIION ANIMAL OVERPOPULATION, HELPING HOMELESS CATS AND DOGS FIND NEW FAMILIES TO LOVE AND CARE FOR THEM, TEACHING AREA YOUTH AND ADULTS RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL ANIMALS, FEEDING HUNGRY PETS, AND HELPING CITIZENS REUNITE WITH THEIR LOST PETS.
