The Center primarily serves to provide meals to Senior Citizens in the Ruby Valley, primarily Sheridan, both at their in-house facility and by delivery. Only lunchtime meals are provided from Monday-Friday. During this fiscal year, approximately 50 meals per day were prepared for a total of approximately 12091 meals. Of the total, approximately 23 are delivered to homes and 27 served in house every day. Program service revenue includes $40555 from participants contributions and $48515 from Montana Aread V Agency on Aging.
During this fiscal year, a major fundraising campaign was undertaken to construct a new facility. The Center had outgrown their old facility which was then sold on 2/19/2020 for net $94,261. The Ruby Valley Hospital Foundation leased land and an existing building to the Center for $1 per year for a term of 75 years. The building was then significantly remodeled with reserved funds from the $38000 Madison County annual mill levy funds and contributions totaling $251,136. There remains $60,737 in the building fund as of year end reserved for future additional improvements. The proceeds from the building sale are also held in reserve for future improvements.
