Food assistance to the hungry.
Pantry Partners provided food donations to low income families. 6,654 individuals (2,129 children, 3,280 adults, 1,243 seniors) were served by providing 2,224 boxes (243,597 pounds) of food. In addition, 965 walk-ins were provided with bread, milk and produce. The Pantry took in donations of 178,944 pounds of food from the community. Volunteers gave a total of 5,384 hours of time.On average, each month Pantry Partners serves 185 families (177 children, 273 adults, and 104 seniors). We served 80 walk-ins (clients may come in for produce, bread items once a week). An average of 37 volunteers served our clients each month, giving 449 hours of their time.
At Christmas time Pantry Partners served 1,265 individuals by providing 237 boxes of food for a total of 23,615 pounds of food for their Christmas dinner. In addition to the number of volunteers and hours donated each month, 81 people gave 476 hours at Christmas to prepare and distribute the Christmas food boxes.
Pantry Partners also worked with local churches and other organizations to furnish birthday boxes (cake, frosting, candles, napkins, plates, favors) to children ages 12 and under.
