Working together to strengthen and support noxious weed managements efforts in Montana.Areas of focus are networking and education
MWCA does a significant number of educational outreach efforts. We support 7 area councils who provide additional local support and training for weed management efforts, including 3 traveling educational trailers. There are 3 regional weed manager trainings. Topics include all aspects of weed management and trainings are approved for commmercial pesticide recertification credits.
Annual Education Conference: Open to the public with over 300 Atendees that includes federal, state, county and city employees; producers/ranchers, businesses and private landowners/citizens. More than 40 learning sessions are provided covering all aspects of weed management. Trainings are certified for commercial and private pesticide credits.
MWCA provides members with a quarterly publication focused on all aspects of weed management, as well as a website that is updated to provide the public with information about weed management. MWCA provides low cost development and distribution of publications for weed managers. MWCA supports 7 area councils that provide additional local support and training for weed management efforts.
