Watch Them Grow Children's Center's mission is to provide the highest quality care at an affordable rate for the families in our community. We strive to offer as many educational opportunities as possible for the early childhood and school age populations we serve.
Watch Them Grow Children's Center operates two childcare centers - a center in Bradford, VT with classrooms for infants, toddlers and preschoolers and a center in Newbury, VT with only a preschool classroom. Our mission is to provide affordable, safe, high quality child care with early learning opportunities and educational opportunities for the children.
Watch Them Grow (WTG) Childcare Center serves children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. WTG operates 1 center with full day, full year child care and education programs and 1 center with a full day, school-year, pre-school program. The two centers partner with the Orange East Supervisory School Union early childhood education programs. Both centers take children using the Vermont state childcare subsidy and participate in the Vermont childcare food program. In 2020, the centers served over 45 children in 2 states and 9 surrounding towns. Note: Program service revenues and expenses for the accomplishments listed in Part III 4b and 4c are included in this section.
The Bradford center is a 4 star program that serves childern ages 6 weeks through preschool. The Bradford Center is located in the Riverbend Career and Technical center at Oxbow High School. There are serveral different programs at the Technical center that have done projects that incorporated the kids. An example of this is Emergency Services program, which does a fire safety week, that allows the kids to see and explore a fire truck. Additionally the program for early childhood education benefits from allowing students to spend time in the center. Program Service revenue and expenses included in Part III, 4a.
The Newbury site is a 3 star preschool only program in Newbury, Vermont. The center is run out of Newbury Elementary School, a big emphasis is placed on integration and collaboration with the elementary school. The kindergarten teachers spent time throughout the year in the preschool classroom in an effor to make the transition as simple as possible for incoming kindergarteners. Note: Program service revenue and expenses for the Newbury Center are included in Part III, 4a.
