Organizations Filed Purposes:
To be a multi-ethnic mutual assistance organization that provides an array of services required by diverse refugee and immigrant communities that help newcomers to understand and navigate the systems that are part of everyday life.
We supported the development and growth of two ethnic-community based organizations in the cities of Nashua and Concord by providing funds and/or seconding our staff to them, meeting with their Board of Directors, and providing management advice.
Our case managers worked with individual refugees and their families to address a range of challenges, including housing, employment, access to health care, mental health care and information and materials to protect against COVID.
Refugee education and training: we provided classes in English and American Civics; home visits on nutrition; and school supports for refugee households whose students were struggling with remote learning in public schools.
