Organizations Filed Purposes:
New Hampshire Theatre Project (NHTP) uses the art of theatre-making to spark conversation, connect individuals and strengthen communities. Our work is based at our 50-seat black box theatre in Portsmouth, NH, and programs are delivered across the region in schools, businesses, healthcare institutions, arts venues and community organizations.
NHTP produces MainStage productions at our home venue featuring both professional and community artists. NHTP also presents guest artists (eg: Seacoast Sessions presents master artists in a unique program of performance and facilitated conversation; Community Connectors presents facilitated panel discussions on important social issues featured in a MainStage production - such as Affordable Housing in "It's a Wonderful Life").
NHTP offers workshops, private coaching and camp programs for all ages in theatre skills (live performance for both live and film, technical skills)public speaking, and team-building. NHTP's Theatre For Life program offers professional development through the theatre arts to individuals, businesses and community organizations (eg: Strategic Storytelling, Presentation Skills, Conflict Resolution).
NHTP tours select MainStage production and our Elephant-in-the-Room Series programs about social issues of critical important to the New Hampshire community (eg: Suicide, Opioid Crisis). NHTP also conducts Artists-in-Residence programs at K-12 schools throughout the state.
