THE MISSION OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER FOUNDATION IS TO PRESERVE, NURTURE AND SUPPORT THE INTELLECTUAL AND CULTURAL HISTORY OF AFRICAN AMERICANS IN NEW MEXICO AND THE SOUTHWEST.

APPROXIMATELY 3,000 PEOPLE CAME TO AAPAC TO WITNESS A PRODUCTION OF A MOSTLY AFRICAN AMERICAN CAST. DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS, AAPAC HOSTED THREE VIRTUAL CONCERTS, AND AN AMATEUR NIGHT. AAPAC ALSO PARTICIPATED IN A VIRTUAL STATE-WIDE JUNETEENTH EVENT.
