OUR MISSION IS TO FUND MEDICAL IMAGING AND RADIATION THERAPY STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS, RESEARCH GRANTS, INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH FELLOWSHIPS AND OTHER SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY AND SAFETY OF PATIENT CARE. WE ARE THE PHILANTHROPIC ARM OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS, THE WORLD'S LARGEST RADIOLOGIC SCIENCE ORGANIZATION.
FUND EDUCATION & RESEARCH FOR RADIOLOGIC SCIENCES STUDENTS & PROFESSIONALS.
THE ASRT FOUNDATION AWARDED 55 SCHOLARSHIPS. TWENTY SCHOLARSHIPS, TOTALING 66,500, WERE AWARDED TO STUDENTS ATTENDING ENTRY-LEVEL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN MEDICAL IMAGING AND RADIATION THERAPY. AN ADDITIONAL 35 SCHOLARSHIPS, TOTALING 123,500, WERE AWARDED TO MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGISTS AND RADIATION THERAPISTS PURSUING CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION OR A DEGREE. THE FOUNDATION'S SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED THROUGH A COMPETITIVE PROCESS BRINGING TOGETHER A VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE OF EXPERTS IN THE FIELD TO REVIEW AND SCORE THE APPLICANTS.
THE ASRT FOUNDATION AWARDED 28 INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH GRANTS, 2 INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER EXCHANGE AWARDS (ISEA), 2 SAFETY GRANTS, AND 1 RESEARCH GRANT. THE TOPIC OF THE RESEARCH GRANT FUNDED WAS, SCHOLARLY PRODUCTIVITY AMONG EDUCATORS IN RADIOLOGIC SCIENCES AND OTHER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONS: AN INTERPROFESSIONAL COMPARATIVE APPROACH.
THE ASRT FOUNDATION'S HCIAC CORPORATE ROUNDTABLE ENHANCED PATIENT CARE AND HELPED INCREASE THE BODY OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE RADIOLOGIC SCIENCES BY BRINGING TOGETHER CORPORATE LEADERS AT AN ANNUAL SUMMIT WHERE EXPERTS PRESENT RELEVANT INSDUSTRY-RELATED INFORMATION AS WELL AS ALLOWING FOR A ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION OF THE MOST PRESSING CONCENRNS FOR INDUSTRY. THE ASRT FOUNDATION COMMUNICATES REGULARLY WITH THE HCIAC MEMBERS TO DISCUSS PRIORITY ISSUES. AS A RESULT OF THIS YEAR'S SUMMIT, A WHITE PAPER ABOUT THE IMPACT OF AI ON MEDICAL IMAGING AND RADIATION THERAPY PROFESSIONALS WILL BE COMPLETED.
