Organizations Filed Purposes: GOODWILLS MISSION IS TO PROVIDE SKILLS TRAINING, JOB DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES FOR NEW MEXICANS. GOODWILL'S VISION IS THAT NEW MEXICANS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVES BY UTILIZING GOODWILL'S SERVICES AND PARTNERSHIPS. GOODWILL IS ABLE TO FULFULL ITS MISSION AND VISION BY OFFERING FREE SERVICES THROUGH 10 COMPHRENSIVE PROGRAMS.

TO PROVIDE SKILLS TRAINING, JOB DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES FOR NEW MEXICANS.

DURING 2019, GINM SERVED A TOTAL OF 19,574 INDIVIDUALS IN THESE PROGRAMS AND PLACED 1,638 OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY. GINM ALSO PROVIDED EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.GINM HAS RETAIL SITES AND PROGRAM STAFF IN ALBUQUERQUE, BERNALILLO, RIO RANCHO, LOS LUNAS, SANTA FE, GALLUP, FARMINGTON, ROSWELL AND CLOVIS AT WHICH DONATIONS OF NEW OR GENTLY USED ITEMS ARE ACCEPTED FROM THE PUBLIC. DONATIONS ARE PROCESSED AND SOLD IN GOODWILL STORES. ITEMS NOT SOLD ARE RECYCLED. REVENUE FROM STORES AND RECYCLING OPERATIONS FUND GOODWILL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IN ALL 33 COUNTIES OF NEW MEXICO. SPECIFIC PROGRAMS AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY GINM INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.* BRAIN INJURY CASE MANAGEMENT - A CRISIS-RELATED, SHORT TERM PROGRAM DESIGNED TO SERVE INDIVIDUALS WITH TRAUMATIC AND ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURIES BY ASSISTING PARTICIPANTS IN OBTAINING LONG-TERM SERVICES. ASSISTANCE INCLUDES, ASSISTIVE EQUIPMENT, INITIAL HOUSING COSTS, ENVIRONMENTAL MODIFICATIONS, RETROFIT OF AN AUTOMOBILE, HOMEMAKER SERVICES, RESPITE CARE, TRANSPORTATION TO RECEIVE BRAIN INJURY MEDICAL CARE, THERAPY SERVICES, PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS, LIFE SKILLS COACHING, SERVICE COORDINATION, CRISIS SUPPORT SERVICES, CASE MANAGEMENT, AND REFERRALS.* GATEWAY TO WORK A PERSONALIZED PATH TO SUCCESS THAT FOCUSES ON THOSE WHO ARE READY, WILLING AND COMMITTED TO JOINING THE WORKFORCE. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO ASSIST PARTICIPANTS IN SECURING LONG-TERM COMMUNITY BASED EMPLOYMENT. PARTICIPANTS WHO ENTER THE GATEWAY TO WORK PROGRAM ARE ENROLLED IN OUR EMPLOYMENT BASICS CLASS AND ASSIGNED TO A CAREER SPECIALIST. THEY WORK WITH THEIR CAREER SPECIALIST TO DISCOVER WHICH PATH THEY'D LIKE TO TAKE AND WHAT FIELD OF WORK THEY'D LIKE TO JOIN. FROM THERE THEY MAY ACCESS OTHER AVENUES OFFERED BY GOODWILL INCLUDING GOODJOBS, GOODSKILLS, AND TRIALWORKS.* GOODJOBS - DESIGNED TO HELP PEOPLE FIND LONG-TERM EMPLOYMENT IN THE COMMUNITY THAT MEETS THEIR NEEDS, ABILITIES AND INTERESTS. PROGRAM COMPONENTS INCLUDE JOB SEARCH SKILLS, RESUME WRITING, INTERVIEWING TECHNIQUES, EMPLOYER EXPECTATIONS, POST-EMPLOYMENT RETENTION SKILLS AND SUPPORT. * GOODSKILLS - COMPREHENSIVE JOB READINESS TRAINING, INCLUDING HIRING ESSENTIALS (E.G., CREATING A RESUME, INTERVIEWING SKILLS AND HOW TO APPLY FOR JOBS) AND COMPUTER BASICS (E.G., TRAINING IN MICROSOFT EXCEL AND MICROSOFT WORD). * HOMELESS VETERANS' REINTEGRATION PROGRAM - FOCUSES ON PLACING HOMELESS VETERANS' IN LONG-TERM EMPLOYMENT AND PROVIDING SOCIAL SERVICES. SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE CLASSROOM TRAINING, JOB SEARCH ACTIVITIES, JOB PREPARATION, SUBSIDIZED TRIAL EMPLOYMENT, ON-THE-JOB TRAINING, JOB PLACEMENT, PLACEMENT FOLLOW-UP SERVICES, VOCATIONAL COUNSELING, CASE MANAGEMENT, REFERRALS, AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE.* SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM - PROVIDES LOW-INCOME SENIORS 55+ WITH WORK EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING IN ORDER TO ASSIST THEM IN SECURING PERMANENT COMMUNITY BASED EMPLOYMENT. IN ADDITION TO SUBSIDIZED TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, THE PROGRAM PROVIDES JOB DEVELOPMENT AND PLACEMENT, JOB CLUBS, POST-PLACEMENT SUPPORT, DIRECT SERVICES TO EMPLOYERS, AND REFERRALS.* SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR VETERAN FAMILIES - HELPS STABILIZE HOUSING FOR VERY-LOW INCOME VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO ARE HOMELESS OR AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS. UNDER THIS PROGRAM, GINM ASSISTS WITH MOVE-IN COSTS, RENT AND PAST DUE RENT, SECURITY DEPOSITS, MOVING/STORAGE, UTILITIES AND PAST DUE UTILITIES, UTILITY DEPOSITS, CHILD CARE, EMERGENCY SUPPLIES, CASE MANAGEMENT, COMMUNITY REFERRALS, ASSISTANCE WITH VA AND OTHER PUBLIC BENEFITS.* TRIALWORKS - TEMPORARY, PAID TRAINING IN RETAIL SKILLS (RECYCLING, FORKLIFT OPERATIONS, MATERIALS PROCESSING AND WAREHOUSING). PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN ANOTHER GOODWILL PROGRAM BEFORE BEING ELIGIBLE TO ENTER INTO THE TRIALWORK PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES JOB DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION AND TRAINING AND JOB READINESS SKILLS.* VETERAN FAMILY SERVICES - A PROGRAM SPECIFIC TO VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS THAT ASSISTS THEM IN SECURING LONG-TERM COMMUNITY BASED EMPLOYMENT WHILE PROVIDING COMPREHENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES. PARTICIPANTS WHO ENTER THE VETERAN FAMILY SERVICES PROGRAM ARE ENROLLED IN OUR EMPLOYMENT BASICS CLASS AND ASSIGNED TO A CAREER SPECIALIST. THEY WORK WITH THEIR CAREER SPECIALIST TO DISCOVER WHICH PATH THEY'D LIKE TO TAKE AND WHAT FIELD OF WORK THEY'D LIKE TO JOIN.
