Organizations Filed Purposes: THE MISSION OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER (JCC) IS "ENRICHING OUR COMMUNITY BY PRACTICING THE VALUES OF JEWISH LIFE." THE JCC PROVIDES PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR ALL AGES AND STAGES IN LIFE. MEMBERS GATHER AT THE JCC TO MEET, PLAY, LEARN, CELEBRATE, AND BE PART OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY. THE JCC PRESENTLY HAS ABOUT 2,430 MEMBER UNITS, WHICH REPRESENTS APPROXIMATELY 5,950 INDIVIDUALS, AND WELCOMES PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND RELIGIOUS AFFILIATIONS. THE JCC PROVIDES A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR INDIVIDUALS TO COME TOGETHER TO EXPRESS, ENHANCE, AND STRENGTHEN THEIR JEWISH IDENTITY AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A VARIETY OF SOCIAL, CULTURAL, RECREATIONAL, AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.

THE PURPOSE OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER ALBUQUERQUE, INC. IS TO PROVIDE A PLACE WHERE ALL CAN CONNECT WITH JEWISH LIFE, TO PERPETUATE, STRENGTHEN, AND SERVE THE JEWISH COMMUNITY, AND TO PROVIDE CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL, AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE JEWISH AND GENERAL COMMUNITY.

MEMBERSHIP AT THE JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER INCLUDES ACCESS TO A MODERN FITNESS CENTER, INDOOR GYMNASIUM AND OUTDOOR ATHLETIC FIELD, PERSONAL TRAINING, WEIGHT TRAINING, SPORTS LEAGUES AND AEROBIC FITNESS EQUIPMENT, GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES, AND OUTDOOR AQUATICS CENTER. MEMBER BENEFITS INCLUDE REDUCED RATES FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, SWIM LESSONS, AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS.

THE FAMILY ENRICHMENT CENTER PROVIDES EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AGES 8 WEEKS THROUGH 5 YEARS. WE CURRENTLY HAVE APPROXIMATELY 86 CHILDREN ENROLLED FOR EITHER FULL OR PART TIME CARE. WE CONTINUE TO ACCEPT FAMILIES CERTIFIED BY THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES SERVICES IN THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO. THE JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER SUPPORTS FAMILIES IN NEED BY OFFERING EXTENDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD TUITION.

THE JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER RUNS A FULL DAY, ALL SUMMER, DAY CAMP AS WELL AS OTHER SPECIALTY CAMPS DURING SCHOOL BREAKS. OUR CAMP AND AQUATICS PROGRAM SERVED OVER 1,600 CHILDREN LAST YEAR. THE JCC OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE FOR SUMMER CAMP TO THE TITLE ONE HOMELESS PROGRAM AS WELL AS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED. THE JCC ALSO HOSTS AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS AND TUTORING.
