TO UTILIZE TRAINING, RESEARCH, POLICY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TOWARDS OUR GOAL TO ADDRESS AND END SEXUAL VIOLENCE IN NEW MEXICO.
Programs and services include:technical assistance to 15 sexual assault service providers (rape crisis centers) and 10 SANE agencies (sexual assault nurse examiner),14 CAC's (child advocacy centers), as well as to 21 community mental health centers in New Mexico, coordination of statewide education events for thousands of New Mexicans (e.g.conferences, certification trainings, etc.); training in regional setting to professionals throughout New Mexico; production tracking, and distribution of 1,596 sexual assault evidence collection kits; production and distribution of over 100,000 brochures and posters; data collection and research related to sexual assault in New Mexico; administrative agent for the pass-through of governmental grant funds to sexual assault service centers in New Mexico; and the administration of reimbursement payments to medical providers for forensic exams of victims of sexual assault.
