GRANTS SUPPORTING SANTA FE AND RUST MEDICAL CENTERS: CONTRIBUTIONS IN THE FORM OF MULTI-YEAR PLEDGE PAYMENTS SUPPORTED CONSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS FOR PRESBYTERIAN SANTA FE MEDICAL CENTER, $485,500, AND PRESBYTERIAN RUST MEDICAL CENTER, $150,000. THE SANTA FE MEDICAL CENTER SUPPORTS PRESBYTERIANS GOAL OF INCREASING CHOICE AND ELEVATING HEALTHCARE FOR RESIDENTS OF SANTA FE AND NORTHERN NEW MEXICO. RUST MEDICAL CENTER, SANDOVAL COUNTYS FIRST FULL-SERVICE MEDICAL CENTER, LIKEWISE INCREASES PATIENT CHOICE AND ACCESS.

IN 2019, PHF INVESTED $250,000 IN PRESBYTERIANS ENTERPRISE WIDE ADVANCED CARE PLANNING (ACP) INITIATIVE HELPING PAVE THE WAY FOR A MORE ACCESSIBLE, CONSISTENT AND RELIABLE SYSTEM TO ENSURE CARE TEAMS ARE ABLE TO HONOR PATIENTS WISHES. THIS REPRESENTED APPROXIMATELY ONE QUARTER OF PRESBYTERIANS TOTAL INVESTMENT. IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS PROJECT WILL APPLY BEST PRACTICE KNOWLEDGE BY DIGITIZING AND STANDARDIZING ADVANCED CARE DOCUMENTATION. THE INITIATIVE IS EXPECTED TO BOLSTER THE FREQUENCY OF ADVANCED CARE PLANNING, INCREASE PATIENT SATISFACTION AND REDUCE HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS.

PHF PROVIDED SUPPORT TOTALING $250,000 TO ASSIST WITH ARRHYTHMIA CENTER EQUIPMENT NEEDS INCLUDING THE PURCHASE OF A 3D CARDIAC IMAGE MAPPING AND STIMULATOR SYSTEM TO PINPOINT AND TREAT HEART ARRHYTHMIA, A CONDITION IN WHICH THE HEART BEATS WITH AN IRREGULAR OR ABNORMAL RHYTHM. THE HEART CENTER AT PRESBYTERIAN HAS THE EXPERTISE, SPECIALISTS, HIGH-QUALITY CARE, AND ACCURATE TOOLS TO HELP ARRHYTHMIA AND DEVICE PATIENTS MAINTAIN LONG AND HEALTHY LIVES.
