VALLE DE ORO - This project focuses on native riparian re-vegetation on the Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge. The objectives completed for this project included harvesting, transporting and planting 515 cottonwood poles in Unit 2 harvesting, transporting and planting 15,000 coyote willow in Unit 1 harvesting, transporting and planting 8008 saltgrass plugs in Unit 5 and six community events providing work experience and educational opportunities for local organizations, youth groups and community members.
RIVER STEWARDS - Restoration of 43.68 acres of wetland and 14.9 acres of riparian restorations on Units 1 5 at the Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge. Objectives completed included harvesting, transporting and planting 1000 cottonwood poles in Unit 1 harvesting, transporting and planting 15,000 coyote willow in Unit 1 harvesting, transporting and planting 12,000 salt grass plugs in Unit 5, and purchasing and planting 400 native riparian container plants in Unit 1.
CANADIAN RIVER - Habitat restoration of native vegetation to restore and enhance native riparian and upland habitats. Planting riparian vegetation on low and mid terraces along the Canadian River. Objective completed include harvesting, transporting and planting 50,000 willow poles and harvesting, transporting, planting and fencing 800 cottonwood
