Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PROVIDE MENTAL WELLNESS SERVICES TO PERSONS IN NEED REGARDLESS OF ECONOMIC STATUS.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: PEOPLEWORKS PROVIDES NONBILLABLE AND BILLABLE PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICES TO PERSONS AGE 16 TO 100 AND THEIR FAMILIES. PSYCHOTHERAPY CLIENTS WHO HAVE NO INSURANCE OR WHO ARE UNABLE TO AFFORD DEDUCTIBLES AND COPAYS WERE GIVEN REDUCED FEES OR SCHOLARSHIPS. IN 2019 WE PROVIDED 2549 SESSIONS. WE GRANTED 3,050 IN SCHOLARSHIPS AND HAD 3,673 OF UNCOLLECTED COPAYS AND DEDUCTIBLES FROM THESE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS. RESULTS FROM A SATISFACTION SURVEY (OVER 140 SURVEYS SENT, 38 SURVEYS RECEIVED) IN DECEMBER 2019 AGAIN YIELDED VERY HIGH RESULTS, AS ALMOST 98% OF RESPONSES WERE IN THE GOOD OR VERY GOOD CATEGORIES. OUR COMMUNITY WORK INCLUDES PROVIDING RESOURCE INFORMATION TO CLIENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. PEOPLEWORKS ALSO ATTENDS A MONTHLY MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAM MEETING WITH SEVERAL COMMUNITY AND GOVERNMENT ENTITIES, DISCUSSING AT RISK ADULTS IN THE RIO RANCHO AND GREATER ALBUQUERQUE COMMUNITY. PEOPLEWORKS PROVIDES CONSULTATION TO MDT MEMBERS REGARDING MENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ISSUES, AND WE PARTNER WITH THE TEAM TO DEVELOP STRATEGIES FOR ADDRESSING PROBLEMS. WE CONTINUED TO PROVIDE TELEHEALTH SESSIONS TO A MINORITY OF CLIENTS, A NEWER SERVICE OFFERING SINCE MID 2018

GAMBLING ADDICTION PROGRAM: PEOPLEWORKS PROVIDES A GAMBLING ADDICTION PROGRAM WHICH FOCUSES ON TREATMENT OF PROBLEM GAMBLERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. IN 2019 WE PROVIDED 88 TREATMENT SESSIONS TO GAMBLERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. IN ADDITION THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES PREVENTION AND EDUCATION TO OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY AS WELL AS COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE STATE. THE EDUCATION EFFORT ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATION OF PROFESSIONALS, IN IDENTIFYING OR SCREENING FOR PROBLEM GAMBLING. IN 2019 WE VISITED 50 BUSINESSES, CONDUCTED 12 PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS WHICH REACHED 286 PERSONS. BUSINESSES TARGETED INCLUDED LAW FIRMS, AND FINANCIAL PLANNERS WHO MAY MORE EASILY DETECT PROBLEM GAMBLING. OUR PRESENTATIONS TO THE PUBLIC WERE CONDUCTED AS FAR AWAY AS FARMINGTON AND SOCORRO. TWO PRESENTATIONS WERE GIVEN TO PROFESSIONALS, ONE AT SANDIA CASINO'S ANNUAL GAMBLING CONFERENCE FOR COUNSELORS; AND ONE AT THE STATEWIDE AGING CONFERENCE.
