SFDP provides qualified immigrants with access to legal counsel, and helping to elevate the voices and narratives of immigrants in our community to support positive reform.

Santa Fe Dreamers Project provides free legal services to immigrants to promote economic empowerment, community development, family unity, and liberation from detention. This year we served 15 counties in New Mexico, hosted 50 legal clinics. We processed: 583 D.A.C.A. Cases, 81 Green Card and Family based petitions, 50 U-Visa cases, 53 naturalization cases, 10 approved for Special Immigration Juveniles Status, 57 Political Asylum cases and were able to help release 120 people from detention. We also provided in-house counseling to 129 clients, representing 1,268 hours served. For the El Paso Immigration Collaborative, we collected data from 1,200 detainees and accepted 291 cases, resulting in 91 people released. Due to Covid-19, the Courts have been closed since March 2020.
