CULINARY ARTS TRAINING AND CATERING PROGRAM - A YOUTH-OPERATED CULINARY ARTS TRAINING PROGRAM FEATURING CHEF TRAINERS TO DELIVER WORKFORCE SKILLS IN THE CULINARY ARTS AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY. THIS PROGRAM PREPARES, DELIVERS AND SERVES 1400 HOMEMADE HOT MEALS DAILY TO CHILDREN IN AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS, SEVERAL PRESCHOOLS, SUMMER MEALS FOR CHILDREN AND WHEN CONTRACTED, THREE MADE FROM SCRATCH MEALS DAILY TO HOMELESS CLIENTS IN LOCAL SHELTERS. THE PROGRAM IS ALSO OPERATED AS AN ENTREPRENEURIAL VENTURE TO EARN PROGRAM INCOME THROUGH PRIVATE CATERING CONTRACTS AND THE SUMMER CAFE OPERATION.
SANTA FE YOUTH CORPS - CREWS WORK TOGETHER TO RESTORE COMMUNITY PARKS, TRAILS AND OPEN SPACE, PERFORM RIVER AND LAND RESTORATION, ASSIST NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WITH FACILITY MAINTENANCE, AND ASSIST PUBLIC AND NONPROFIT ENTITIES WITH BEAUTIFICATION, LANDSCAPING, COMMUNITY FARMING AND GARDENING TO BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY. WORKFORCE INNOVATION PROGRAM - AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM DEVELOPED BY THE ORGANIZATION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES AND THE CITY OF SANTA FE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIVISION. THIS PROGRAM REINFORCES BUSINESS SUCCESS OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS THROUGH TALENTED AND FULLY SCREENED WORKFORCE PLACEMENTS. SANTA FE YOUTHBUILD - A GREEN CONSTRUCTION AND CULINARY ARTS DUAL TRACK EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE SKILLS TRAINING AND TRADES CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FUNDED BY US DOL EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ADMINISTRATION. THIS PROGRAM FEATURES KEY PARTNERSHIPS WITH SANTA FE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, SANTA FE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, EL RANCHO DE LAS GOLONDRINAS, CITY OF SANTA FE, AND LOCAL BUSINESSES AND NONPROFITS. THROUGH HANDS-ON TRAINING AND CLASSROOM EDUCATION, PARTICIPANTS LEARN TRADE SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS, CONDUCT COMMUNITY SERVICE, ENGAGE IN LEADERSHIP, PREPARE AND PRODUCE MEALS, AND CONSTRUCT HOMES FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES ALL WHILE EARNING COLLEGE CREDITS AND WORKING TOWARD GED ATTAINMENT.
