TO PROMOTE, BROADEN, AUGMENT AND ENRICH THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE OF ALL STUDENTS IN THE MUSKOGEE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT I-20.
The Muskogee School District I-20 annually selects a Teacher of the Year based on performance outcomes and other standards.The Teacher of the Year award recognizes that instructor that goes above and beyond the bounds of normal institutional lessons both in and out of the classroom and is highly respected among his or her administrators and peers.The Muskogee School District I-20 annually invites all instructors to apply for classroom grants. The applications are vetted by committee based on creativity, cost, performance outcomes and other criteria. The successful applicants receive funding for their grants from the Foundation.These achievements, funded by the Foundation, promote the educational experience of the students without cost to the school system, which could not fund them under normal conditions.
