Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of Bethesda is to heal the trauma of childhood sexual abuse through treatment, education and prevention. Bethesda serves any child victim of sexual abuse and their non-offending caregiver in the state of Oklahoma. Licensed counselors provide trauma-focused group and individual counseling. Additionally, Bethesda provides education to elementary aged students on personal space boundaries

Therapeutic counseling services were provided to 633 clients during the reported year. These services included initial assessments, group counseling and individual counseling for children 3-18 years old and their non-offending caregivers. Through Bethesda's education program, 23,560 children received education at their school on personal space boundaries and what to do if someone tries to break boundaries. The majority of Bethesda's services were performed for clients and students in the central Oklahoma area along with some clients that traveled from rural areas of Oklahoma for services.
