THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF OKLAHOMA COUNTY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1995 TO PROVIDE CHILDREN AND TEENS WITH A POSITIVE PLACE TO SPEND THEIR OUT-OF- SCHOOL TIME. OUR MISSION IS TO INSPIRE AND ENABLE ALL YOUTH, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO NEED US MOST, TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS PRODUCTIVE, CARING AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS. OUR HOME CLUB IS A 41,000 SQUARE FOOT FACILITY AT 3535 N. WESTERN AVE. IN MEMORIAL PARK, THAT NOW SERVES OVER 400 YOUTH AGES 6-18 DAILY, AFTER SCHOOL AND DURING SCHOOL BREAKS. WE ALSO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR AN ADDITIONAL 500 YOUTH EACH DAY THROUGH PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS: ADELAIDE LEE, CESAR CHAVEZ, SANTA FE SOUTH ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND CAPITOL HILL MIDDLE SCHOOL ALL IN SOUTH OKC SERVING PRIMARILY HISPANIC YOUTH, AND STEED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN MIDWEST CITY. KIDS IN OUR COUNTRY ARE IN CRISIS, A SITUATION WHICH MAKES THE AMERICAN DREAM VULNERABLE TO EXTINCTION FOR MANY. WITH GROWING OPPORTUNITY GAPS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND NATION THAT ARE ONLY BEING EXACERBATED BY THE PANDEMIC, BOYS

THE CLUB PROVIDES A SAFE AND POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT WITH CARING ADULTS FOR OVER 4,500 CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN PRIMARILY LOW-INCOME, INNER-CITY AREAS OF OKLAHOMA CITY. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING ACADEMIC, CULTURAL AND RECREATIONAL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES, WE PROVIDE MENTORING, MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WHEN NEEDED, AND NUTRITIOUS FOOD INCLUDING HEALTHY SNACKS AFTER SCHOOL, AND THREE MEALS A DAY DURING SCHOOL BREAKS. WE PROVIDE EVIDENCE- BASED PROGRAMS IN MANY AREAS, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH IN A WIDE VARIETY OF INTERESTS INCLUDING ART, MUSIC, DANCE, TECHNOLOGY, SPORTS, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, COLLEGE AND CAREER PLANNING, ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT, AND MORE.
