Unity Gala: Freedom Oklahoma hosts Oklahoma Citys largest gathering of LGBTQ advocates to clebrate a year of victories, commiserate on our losses, and plan for the future. The 2019 Unity Gala hosted 350 attendees and highlighted work with Two Spirit communities, Transgender Oklahomans, and empahsized racial justice as a framework for LGBTQ equality.
College Summit: Freedom Oklahoma worked with college students and young people from 19 colleges and universities and featured sessions on identity, dismantling racism in LGBTQ communities, LGBTQ history, and experiences of trans and non-binary Oklahomans. This leadership development program focuses on building the skills young LGBTQ people need to advocate on behalf of themselves and their communities.
