TO SHOW CHRIST-LIKE LOVE AND SUPPORT BY PROVIDING BASIC NEEDS SUCH AS FOOD, CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO THOSE IN NEED IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES.
Food purchased with thrift store proceeds and donated from local grocers was distributed to 22,000 individuals. Clothing donated to the thrift store was donated to 316 people. Through the Food for Kids Backpack program elementary school children in the Hominy, Wynona, Avant and Collinsville, OK school districts were provided backpacks of food during the school year for a total of 280 children getting a pack of food every Friday. An Angel Tree Gift program for Collinsville, OK children was coordinated as well as an Angel Tree party.Twenty five volunteers donated a total of approximately 7,000 hours of labor to the combined programs. A total of 75,000 pounds of food was either purchased from store proceeds or donated and distributed through the food pantries located at four different locations.
