COURTESY CARE PROGRAM:Hospice of Green Country provides Courtesy Care services to patients and families who do not have health insurance or are under-insured. Services include physical, emotional and spiritual care provided by physicians, nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. All medications, medical equipment, supplies, and medical procedures needed to treat the terminal illness and to maintain comfort are provided. Bereavement care is provided to the family and loved ones for at least 13 months after the death. In 2019, 61 Hospice of Green Country patients and families received hospice care through Courtesy Care services.
Hospice Education:Through the Hospice Education Institute, Hospice of Green Country provides hospice education to the community and to medical professionals encouraging ongoing discussions about the end of life. In 2019, Hospice of Green Country reached 2,108 individuals with end-of-life care planning education at our education events and through community presentations.
