WATER WELL: The goal of the International Projects Committee is the advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. Started in 2000 by the Rotary Club of Tulsa, our current, more specific goal is to provide potable water to the poor who live in the barrios of Nicaragua. Since its inception, the Water Well project has been successful in drilling and completing over 487 good water wells, providing potable water to over 110,500 people. Funds to address drilling expenses were raised through the combined efforts of individual donors, gifts from other Rotary clubs and a portion of event proceeds.
