Healthy Learners mission is to remove children's health barriers to learning with love and compassion. Healthy Learners works collaboratively with communities, schools, healthcare providers and families to remove health barriers to learning through screening, referral, and access to medical services. Healthy Learners serves students to improve academic and health related outcomes.

A ministry of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine, the purpose of Healthy Learners is, and always has been, to meet the health needs of children and youth who would otherwise not receive adequate health care services. Most of these children are from working families who are uninsured, or under insured and do not have private pay capability. During 2019 Healthy Learners' provided 1,910 children with access to 5,699 basic health care services, including medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health services. The children served by Healthy Learners come from very diverse backgrounds. Ethnicities include but are not limited to, American Indian, African American, Caucasian, Asian, and Hispanic.
