The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina (SCF) is dedicated to furthering the mission, ministry, and purpose of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine and personalizing Catholic values by action, advocacy, and leadership.
To support and further the mission and ministry of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine by addressing the needs of the poor and under served through programs that promote health, education, and social services.

The Foundation is dedicated to efforts which help build a sustainable healthy economy, promote educational success, support stronger families, contribute to long-term community development, and to the measurement of the effects of these efforts.
The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina provides support for the health, education, and social service ministries of Catholic women religious. The Foundation supports efforts of women religious to collaborate, improve, and expand their services for the vulnerable and under served. The Foundation also supports research into the role of women religious in ministry and how to continue their work, as the number of sisters in active ministry continues to decline.
The Foundation has invested significantly in programs that support low income fathers over the past twenty years. Additionally the Foundation has other initiatives that have an effect on marginalized populations. The Foundation has an Immigrant Families initiative which works to support individuals who have migrated to South Carolina but suffer many challenges including access to health care, legal issues, work issues, community service issues, and system support. The Kinship Care initiative is designed to support more than fifty thousand children across the state that are being raised by a family member other than a parent. These families have significant issues that other families do not have.
