PROVIDED LIFELONG COMPREHENSIVE CARE FOR PERSONS LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS IN THE PEE DEE REGION COVERING FLORENCE, MARION, DILLON, DARLINGTON AND CHESTERFIELD COUNTIES. 1278 PATIENTS RECEIVED COMPREHENSIVE SPECIALTY CARE. SUCCESSFUL PROGRAMS INTENDED TO REACH THOSE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS, PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL CONTENT, CHANGE RISK BEHAVIORS AND OVERCOME BARRIERS WERE RELATIONSHIPS AND ANTI-RETROVIRAL TREATMENT AND ACCESS TO SERVICES (ARTAS)
PROVIDED MEDICAL, SUPPORTIVE AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS IN ORANGEBURG, CALHOUN, BAMBERG, AND AIKEN COUNTIES. 857 PATIENTS RECEIVED COMPREHENSIVE SPECIALTY CARE. PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE CASE MANAGEMENT, TRANSPORTATION, FOOD ASSISTANCE, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSELING, SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING AND DRUG ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS WITH LOCAL COLLEGES HAVE RESULTED IN PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS ON CAMPUS AND SENSITIVITY DISCUSSIONS AMONG PEERS AND PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS.
