PRESERVATION OF MORRIS ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE
The sole purpose of Save the Light. Inc is to Save the Morris Island lighthouse, (which is owned by the State of SC). This project is expected to take several years primarily due to the necessity of raising sufficient funds. To date we have spent in excess of $5.7 million on phases one and two.The next phase will not be implemented until sufficient funds are raised.Future expenditures are estimated to be in excess of $3 million. During 2019 there were project expenditures made in the amount of $29,965. In 2019 the Board of Directors was active in fund raising activities that resulted in raising $215,000 included in part 1 of the 990.
