THE ABILITY TO PROVIDE THESE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE REVENUES GENERATED THROUGH THE SALE OF DONATIONS IN GOODWILL RETAIL STORES. PG OPERATES PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO HELP PEOPLE TRAIN FOR AND FIND JOBS THAT LEAD TO ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE. PG PROVIDES JOB OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH 30 RETAIL LOCATIONS AND COMMERCIAL CONTRACT SITES. IN ADDITION, PG SERVES THE COMMUNITY THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS THAT HELP HOMELESS AND STRUGGLING VETERANS, YOUTH, AND SENIORS, AND PROVIDES SUPPORTIVE EMPLOYMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
PALMETTO GOODWILL ("PG") IS CHARTERED THROUGH GOODWILL INDUSTRIES INTERNATIONAL TO PROVIDE JOB TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES TO VETERANS, SENIORS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND OTHER BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT. PALMETTO GOODWILL CURRENTLY OPERATES THIRTY RETAIL STORES AND 15 CAREER OPPORTUNITY CENTERS THROUGHOUT BEAUFORT, BERKELEY, CHARLESTON, COLLETON, DARLINGTON, DORCHESTER, FLORENCE, GEORGETOWN, HORRY, ORANGEBURG AND SUMTER COUNTIES. GOODWILL'S COMMERCIAL SERVICES PROVIDES WORK OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND DISADVANTAGES THROUGH THE ABILITY ONE PROGRAM. GOODWILL'S RETAIL SALES GENERATE MISSION REVENUES THAT SUPPORT GOODWILL'S JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES.
GOODWILL'S DONATED GOODS PROGRAM ULTIMATELY PROVIDES JOB TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO PEOPLE WITH BARRIERS TO SUCH THROUGH THE RESELLING OF RETAIL ITEMS. SALES OF DONATED CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS GENERATE MISSION REVENUE FOR THESE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES FOR OUR COMMUNITY. GOODWILL HELPS PEOPLE EARN A LIVING, IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE, AND STRENGTHEN THEIR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES BY PUTTING 92% OF ITS REVENUE FROM ITS 30 THRIFT STORES BACK INTO MISSION PROGRAMMING. PALMETTO GOODWILL'S ECONOMIC IMPACT FOR 2019 WAS $120,453,044 AND THE AVERAGE WAGE OF EMPLOYEES WAS $14.99 WITH THE MEAN WORK WEEK BEING 34 HOURS. PALMETTO GOODWILL'S SUBSTANTIAL DONATION PROGRAM HELPED KEEP MORE THAN 1,128,200 POUNDS OF E-WASTE WAS KEPT OUT OF SOUTH CAROLINA LANDFILLS.

GOODWILL'S MISSION SERVICES DIVISION OVERSEES A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS, PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FOR PEOPLE UNEMPLOYED, WITH DISABILITIES, LOW-INCOME SENIORS, AND VETERANS TRANSITIONING TO CIVILIAN LIFE. CAREER COUNSELING, VOCATIONAL ASSESSMENTS, "SOFT" SKILLS CLASSES, AND JOB READINESS TRAINING ARE PROVIDED THROUGH PALMETTO GOODWILL'S CAREER OPPORTUNITY CENTERS AND SPECIAL COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS. CASE MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES, JOB PLACEMENTS, AND FOLLOW-UP SERVICES ARE ALSO PROVIDED THROUGH OUR CAREER NAVIGATORS. THROUGH THE SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SCSEP), PALMETTO GOODWILL ASSISTS WORKERS 55 AND OLDER IN FINDING SUITABLE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. WE ARE HONORED TO SERVE THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED. PALMETTO WARRIOR CONNECTION (PWC) SEEKS TO BE THE FIRST STOP FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES AS THEY TRANSITION TO CIVILIAN LIFE. ONE OF PALMETTO GOODWILL'S MOST FREQUENTLY ACCESSED COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS IS A SYSTEM FOR REQUESTING AND DISTRIBUTING CLOTHING AND FURNITURE VOUCHERS. THIS PROGRAM WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE TO MEMBERS. WE BELIEVE THESE INITIATIVES AND OBJECTIVES POSITION PALMETTO GOODWILL FOR A STRONG FUTURE AND INCREASE OUR ABILITIES TO SERVE LOWER SOUTH CAROLINA RESIDENTS. IN 2019, MISSION SERVICES SERVED ALMOST 23,000 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS, MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND OF THESE BEING VETERANS. MORE THAN 114,000 TOTAL SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO CLIENTS, 4,500 PLACED INTO MEANINGFUL JOBS, AND 5,400 PEOPLE TRAINED FOR NEW CAREERS. PALMETTO GOODWILL ALSO SERVED 778 LOW-INCOME SENIOR CITIZENS THROUGH ITS GOLDEN ANGEL PROGRAM.
