THE TRI-COUNTY CRADLE TO CAREER COLLABORATIVE IS A COMMUNITY MOVEMENT IN BERKELEY, CHARLESTON, AND DORCHESTER COUNTIES, SC COMMITTED TO IMPROVING EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES FOR ALL STUDENTS. TCCC BRINGS TOGETHER PARTNERS FROM ACROSS THE REGION TO ADDRESS LARGE-SCALE SOCIAL ISSUES IMPACTING EDUCATION. IN THE PAST, PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES IN THIS REGION HAVE OPERATED INDEPENDENTLY, OFTEN IN SILOS, AND DISCONNECTED FROM OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WITH SIMILAR MISSIONS. TCCC BRINGS THOSE ORGANIZATIONS TOGETHER TO ALIGN EFFORTS AND CREATE SYSTEMIC CHANGE.
THE TRI-COUNTY CRADLE TO CAREER COLLABORATIVE (TCCC) IS A COMMUNITY-WIDE MOVEMENT FOCUSED ON IMPROVING EDUCATION OUTCOMES FROM BIRTH TO WORKFORCE READINESS. WE ARE BUSINESSES, SCHOOL DISTRICTS, NON-PROFITS AND OTHER COMMITTED PARTNERS, WORKING TOGETHER TO MAKE MORE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE USE OF THE RESOURCES DEVOTED TO IMPROVING EDUCATION IN THE REGION. ULTIMATELY, WE WILL INCREASE STUDENT SUCCESS, A SKILLED WORKFORCE AND ECONOMIC PROSPERITY FOR ALL THROUGH COLLABORATIVE NETWORKS CREATING WIDESPREAD SYSTEMIC CHANGE.
TRI-COUNTY REGIONAL IMPROVEMENT PROCESS (TRIP!) - THIS IS A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT APPROACH, TAILORED BY TCCC, THAT GUIDES COMMUNITY GROUPS IN IDENTIFYING LEADING INDICATORS AND ROOT CAUSES THAT IMPEDE PROGRESS. TRIP! TRAINS PARTNERS TO USE THE CYCLE CONTINUOUSLY TO PROVIDE STRUCTURE TO THE WORK AT ALL LEVELS.
KINDERGARTEN READINESS NETWORK - THIS IS A GROUP OF FAMILIES, STUDENTS, EDUCATORS, ADMINISTRATORS, NONPROFITS, BUSINESSES, COLLEGES, CHURCHES AND OTHER CIVIC AND PHILANTHROPIC GROUPS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WHO WORK TOGETHER TO UNDERSTAND CHILD DEVELOPMENT ISSUES PRESENT IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY THEN BUILD AND IMPLEMENT TO FACILITATE WIDESPREAD SYSTEMIC CHANGE.
LOWCOUNTRY EDUCATION CONSORTIUM (PRINCIPALS)- THE SUPERINTENDENTS OF THE FOUR REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS (FROM BERKELEY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, CHARLESTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, DORCHESTER SCHOOL DISTRICT TWO AND DORCHESTER SCHOOL DISTRICT FOUR) MEET REGULARLY WITH TCCC TO JOINTLY WORK ON WAYS TO CREATE A PIPELINE FOR ASPIRING PRINCIPALS AND TO ENSURE STUDENTS ARE "FUTURE READY," AS DEFINED BY BOTH ACADEMIC STANDARDS AND THE SKILLS IDENTIFIED BY THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY.
