ADDITIONALLY THESE CONVENTIONS GENERATE SALES TAX AND HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX REVENUE FOR THE CITY. THE BUREAUS GOAL IS 109,000 HOTEL ROOM NIGHTS-ACVB TOTAL WAS 92,295 OR 85%. THE BUREAU BOOKED 20 CONVENTIONS TO COME TO THE CENTER AT A LATER DATE. LOCAL BUSINESSES DONATED $45,162 IN SERVICES FOR CONVENTION SALES EFFORTS.
TOURISM & TRAVEL THE BUREAU SOLICITS INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS TO TRAVEL TO ARLINGTON, TEXAS CONVENTION CENTER AND SPEND MONEY BY EXPERIENCING THE ENTERTAINMENT OPPORTUNITIES HERE IN ORDER TO GENERATE SALES TAX AND HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX REVENUE FOR THE CITY OF ARLINGTON. THE BUREAU SOLICITS THE INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS THROUGH A VARIETY OF WAYS ADVERTISING IN VARIOUS MEDIUMS AND THROUGH A VISITORS INFORMATION CENTER IN THE BUREAUS BUILDING. THE TOURISM GOAL WAS INCLUDED IN THE CONVENTION'S SALES TEAM GOALS ABOVE STARTING IN 2019 AND CONTINUING FORWARD.
MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS THE BUREAU IS CHARGED WITH MARKETING THE CITY OF ARLINGTON, TEXAS. THE BUREAU MARKETS THE CITY IN MANY WAYS ADVERTISING IN PRINTED PUBLICATIONS, ON THE WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA, VIA RADIO AND TELEVISION PROGRAMMING AND THROUGH THE VISITORS INFORMATION CENTER. THIS PROGRAM BOTH SOLICITS VISITORS AND INFORMS ALL INDIVIDUALS NEEDING INFORMATION-TOURIST AND CONVENTION/MEETINGS ATTENDEES. THE BUREAUS GOAL IS $9,500,000 MEDIA VALUE AND 550,000 UNIQUE WEBSITE VISITORS. ACVB ATTAINED $26,129,564 IN MEDIA VALUE AND 573,098 UNIQUE WEBSITE VISITORS. LOCAL BUSINESSES DONATED $46,151 IN SERVICES FOR ADVERTISING.
