The SEOC hosted the Big 12 Championship game on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at AT&T Stadium. The game featured University of Oklahoma versus the Baylor University. We assist the City of Arlington and surrounding municipalities in the North Texas Region with efforts to be awarded, through highly competitive selection process involving sites located outside the State of Texas, the right to host professional, collegiate, international, and community sporting events, and non-sporting events, which may include concerts, exhibitions, conventions and other special events (collectively, the "Events"). We assist with the organization, administration, management, promotion and operations of the events to stimulate and promote the common economic interest of the North Texas Region, including local businesses, through the increased demand for goods, services, and facilities by hosting of local, state, national and international events. These events attract new businesses, additional workforce, and tourism. We engage in all lawful activities necessary, incidental or convenient to carry on the organizations purposes, except as otherwise restricted in the certificate of Formation.
