Organizations Filed Purposes:
The American Council of Engineering Companies of TX, Inc. is devoted to the advancement of the practice of consulting engineering, to the promotion of private enterprise, protection of public welfare, and to the improvement of the economic status of professional engineers engaged in the practice of consulting engineering. It is the forum for interchange of thought and experience among consulting engineers, for mututal understanding, and for improvement for engineering, business practices, and professional procedures. The Council changed its name to American Council of Engineering Companies of Texas, Inc on September 1, 2011.
American CEC offers a wide variety of programs to assist and promote excellence in the business of Consulting and Engineering. These programs include: business practices, seminars, publications, and training;
Legislative advocacy on such issues as privatization, governmental competition, tort reform, procurement matters, and professional issues;
Industry promotions and membership privileges which include promoting the visibility and image to insurance benefit programs and communications which keeps consulting engineers informed of the latest news and developments in Texas and in the nation that affect consulting engineers' business and professional practices.
